Raw Protein Bars

Raw Protein Bar


1 heaped tablespoon of coconut oil

2 heaped tablespoons of peanut butter

15 or so dates soaked in warm water

1 tablespoon of protein powder (I have used Veganut vanilla)

1/2 a cup of raw cashew nuts

1/2 a cup of ground almonds

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence

Pinch of pink Himalayan salt

Optional topping

Dark chocolate (about 4 pieces)

Freeze dried raspberries (approx 5)

Makes approximately 5 bars

This recipe is super easy and very delicious. High in protein, fibre, minerals and good fats it’s a perfect anytime snack.


Soak the dates in warm water for 5 mins to soften. Tip out water and add the dates to a blender.

Add all the rest of the ingredients (except the toppings).Blend until firm enough to form a bar shape.

Cut the chocolate in to small chunks, you could also use chocolate drops (I like the Trade Aid dark chocolate drops) and spread out on top.

Gently crush the freeze dried raspberries and sprinkle on top.

Keep in the fridge.
